About Me

I’m a certified Muslim Life Coach, and recognised DEI subject matter expert, with global cross-cultural management expertise and over 9 years of DEI experience across public and private sectors. In 2023, I was recognised in the global Women of the Future 50 Rising Stars in ESG and Singapore 100 Women in Tech. In 2022, I was recognised as one of the UK’s Top 100 Influential Muslims and Top 10 in Tech.

Currently, I’m a Senior Program Manager for DEI at Amazon, where I lead strategic programs across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, focusing on representative pipelines and inclusive hiring practices. Before joining Amazon in London, I was based in Singapore at Google, spearheading DEI strategy and advocacy programs in APAC. My efforts aimed to create a more equitable workforce within the organization.

Apart from my professional endeavors, I actively engage with my audience of over 30,000 followers on social media platforms, where I share compelling content on DEI, confidence building, and mental health. My expertise has also led to appearances on international media platforms such as the BBC and Huffington Post, allowing me to amplify my message to a broader audience.

In 2018, I left teaching and embarked on a US Department of State Fellowship as part of the Community Solutions Program. During my time in San Francisco, I managed projects centered around diversity and inclusion. In 2019, I had the privilege of representing Singapore in the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Young Women’s Leadership Academy fellowship program, further solidifying my dedication to empowering others.

With a background in education spanning over 8 years, I’ve leveraged community resources, directing more than $13,000 toward funding social causes and driving meaningful social change. Since 2013, I’ve been the driving force behind Rainbows for Batam, a successful partnership with two orphanages in Batam. Through quarterly volunteer missions and educational programs, we aim to make a difference in the lives of those we serve. I was also a founding member of The Codette Project, a ground-up initiative that empowers minority women through tech.

Public speaking is another avenue through which I share my expertise and passion. As an active speaker and host, I’ve participated in various panel discussions on DEI, including events at NUS and General Assembly. Through partnerships with organizations like UN Women Singapore, I continue to expand my impact and contribute to the broader conversation surrounding inclusivity.
